Meet Oliver Simon Design

Oliver Simon Design represents Jamie Hamilton and Greer Nelson, two passionate and accomplished Vancouver interior designers. It also represents what’s dearest to each of them: Greer’s son, Oliver, and Jamie’s son, Simon.

MEET YOUR INTERIOR DESIGNERS

Greer Nelson

Playing dress-up in her Shaughnessy bedroom with neighbourhood friends was Greer’s first taste of the power of mixing rich textures, patterns, and colours to create a look – and she was hooked from the start.
Her mother, an acclaimed artist, imparted in Greer a deep appreciation for art and design and its capacity to transform.
Greer studied interior design at BCIT, graduating in 2003. Over the years, she has harnessed her trademark warm, modern Scandinavian-influenced style to the benefit of Oliver Simon Design’s many appreciative clients.
A detailed person, Greer is a true connoisseur of balanced living. She appreciates both the sophistication of Paris (where she honeymooned) and the rustic beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Greer lives in Mount Pleasant, loves morning yoga, quiet cabins, outside naps, her son, Oliver, and her husband, Jonathan.
Greer is an exceptionally talented and highly professional designer who embraces every project with focussed enthusiasm, but at heart, she’s still the kid playing dress-up.
Jamie Hamilton

Childhood summers spent barefoot at her grandparents’ ranch in the Cariboo, days filled with horses, and the sound of aspen leaves rustling in the trees still inspire the earthy elements in Jamie’s design ethos today.
Jamie studied interior design at BCIT. She’s drawn to the simple, quiet beauty in small things. And even though she was born and raised in British Columbia, she has travelled far from where she first began. Her travels, which have taken her from Asia to Europe, have informed her polished-yet-eclectic style, eye for unique pieces, and immense creative spirit.
Jamie loves vintage portrait paintings, summer nights on Bowen with family, a good before-and-after picture, and, of course, her son, Simon. A natural storyteller, Jamie’s kind, intuitive, and laid-back personality keeps clients calm during major renovations.
Jamie is also proudly Indigenous. She honours her culture by learning about it and sharing it with her family. As far as she has travelled in her life and her career, she will always be proudly and deeply rooted in British Columbia.
